Welcome to Condopedia
Welcome to Condopedia.

Condopedia provides vital resources for condo associations. Condo trustees may meet monthly or only on an as-needed basis, but the issues they face cover more than any one person can know.

Consider these comments from members of condo associations: “The building is too hot.” “I have a broken storm window.” “There’s a leak in my storage unit.” “Someone keeps taking my newspaper.” “What color should we paint the back staircase?” “Our petty cash system isn’t working properly.” “The cleaning person wants a raise.” Those are just a few of the issues that Condopedia helps address.

In the nearly ten years I’ve been a condo trustee, I have had to contend with every issue from deleading to problems between neighbors. I learned a lot, especially how difficult it is to find relevant information on the web. Try, for instance, getting the scoop on video intercoms or on building insurance off the Internet. You’ll find that objective information for condo associations is hard to come by.

Large buildings employ full-time staff and management companies to deal with problems, but where only 2 to 20 units are involved, owners need to rely on each other. What often happens is that the burden falls disproportionately on one or two people. This site is for them. Next time there’s a problem, you can begin the solution by coming here. Here you will find practical answers to real-life problems, information on what to do next, and a list of service people who work with condo associations. Here you will find a community where you can share your experiences as a trustee and draw on the knowledge of others.

At Condopedia you'll find practial tips for reducing your condo fees, forms you can use to make budgeting easier, samples of minutes and other meeting documents, and much more. This website is for you when you need a quick answer, but it's also for you when you want to figure out the best way to undertake a major project. Over time, we will offer many new services and features, each designed to make your building a better place to live.

We hope you'll become an active member of Condopedia, and in turn we will do our best to help you run your building more efficiently and effectively. If you have any questions, suggestions, or want to offer feedback, write to me at lmullin@condopedia.com.
