The Chez Moi was built in 1974 by now-defunct Vancouver developer Cliffridge Developments. It is a small building with just 18 units, a combination of very large 1 and 2 bedrooms, ranging from 866 to 1,149 square feet - although like most other strata plans of the day, these measurements include balcony square footage.
The Chez Moi is located just half a block west of Lonsdale Avenue, and for that reason can be considered to be very centrally located.
Layout and Features
The Chez Moi is a simple design of six suites per floor, featuring one and two bedrooms ranging from 866 to 1,149 square feet, including balcony measurements. All 12 of the two-bedroom units are built on the corners of the building, and feature covered wraparound balconies, allowing for virtually year-round use.
The Chez Moi features parking under the building, a library/meeting room, storage lockers and a shared laundry room.
Chez Moi restricts the rental of suites to just two of the 18 units in the building. Therefore, it is primarily an owner occupied building. Chez Moi also restricts the age of occupants to age 35 and older as of 2006. There are also restrictions on pets, with one dog or cat being allowed. Barbecues are permitted, but only electric barbecues. There is also a restriction on any laminate, engineered, hardwood or any other style of hard flooring, with the exceptions of kitchens, bathrooms and entryways, meaning that owners must have carpeting in most of each suite.
