The real estate marketing firm for Maddox, MAC Marketing solutions, is apologizing for having two employees pose as potential buyers in a recent CTV and CBC televised interview. In the interview the administrative assistant and a sales assistant with MAC Marketing Solutions posed as buyers claiming they were sisters, and that their parents were coming over from China to assist them in their purchase. In reality, the women are not even related. The misrepresentation was first spotted by the online communities. Watchdog blogs and message boards brought this story to the Media's attention. The GLOBE AND MAIL ran the story February 14th 2013.
The Real Estate Council of B.C will be investigating the matter.
