Ocean Vista was originally built as "Harbour Castle" by a consortium of builders from across Western Canada. Built in 1981 during a time of high interest rates, the consortium was unable to sell the units and rented out each of the condominiums prior to selling all 85 suites to another group of local investors in 1986 at a price of $4,225,000. The suites were finally sold off as individual condominiums commencing in 1990 and were at this time re-branded as the "Ocean Vista". Ocean Vista is notable as one of North Vancouver's very few buildings built in the brutalist style of architecture.
Conveniently located in Lower Lonsdale at West 4th, this property neighbours many shops, restaurants and coffee houses in addition to being only a 5 minute walk from the bustling Lonsdale Quay
Ocean Vista is a concrete building with a neutral earth tone on some of its feature walls. There are private balconies for each suite.
