The Somerset is a five story resort style condominium and apartment building in Beverly Hills with 102 residences. The building offers a gracious lobby and landscaped ground with custom brick work. Many different floor plans are available at the Somerset, with varying sizes that include penthouses and townhouses.
The building offers units available for sale and lease, and features a contemporary style from its original build in 1986. The full service building offers a full line of amenities that includes a 24 hour doorman, sundeck, pool, fitness center, and banquet room. Valet parking service is also offered to residents. The deep brick exterior walls and spacious patios overlooking a landscaped courtyard give a contemporary charm to the complex.
Located in Beverly Hills southwest of West Hollywood and east of Brentwood, The Somerset offers a convenient and sought-after location where residents can enjoy the town with nightly entertainment and restaurants within walking distance.
The Somerset residences are located in Beverly Hills just one block north of the famous Wilshire Boulevard, and two blocks south of Santa Monica Boulevard and Melrose Avenue.
Just a couple of blocks north is the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and nearby outdoor places included Beverly Canon Gardens and Oakhurst Mini Park. Horace Mann School and La Cienega Tennis Center are also nearby. Public transit is located less than two blocks away.

The low-rise contemporary style building was constructed in 1986 on a 96,910 square foot lot. The building is made of concrete and has a brick exterior façade of a deep red color for a historic charm. The five story building also features a landscaped entrance and courtyard, and masonry brick work around its exterior grounds.
White, protruding balconies offset the red color of the exterior brick, and the two separate structures are connected by the courtyard where the pool resides, above the parking garage.
Layout and Features
The Somerset features two bedroom floor plans that range is size from 1400 square feet to nearly 1800 square feet. Each unit features a wide balcony with views of Los Angeles, as well as central heating and cooling systems. Many residences feature half-circle windows above the sliding glass door that lead to the balconies, an above standard ceiling height.
Many of the residences have been personally tailored and upgraded since the original 1986 build. Some of the units feature stainless steel appliances, new hardwood floors, gas cook tops, granite counter tops with under-mount sinks, stone floors, recessed lighting. Many of the units still have their original floor to ceiling mirrors. Many bathrooms have been updated with marble and tile, and custom vanities.
Gas fireplaces and walk-in closets can be found in most of the floor plans. Some of the original layouts included a built-in bar in the living area.
